Courtney Buses is a family owned business which has been providing quality transportation since 1973.

With over 40 contracts held (currently) across 8 boroughs we have considerable experience of providing high quality services.
As a result our organisation has developed a wealth of knowledge in delivering services to users in rural and urban localities.
We have gained an excellent reputation as a leading provider of quality services. This is confirmed by being awarded with IS014001, IS09001, Safe Contractor and Investors in People.

Staff
All staff are qualified and highly trained. We have an ongoing supported programme of training within the company for all staff. All drivers undertake the NVQ in addition to the drivers CPC. We also cover Health and Safety, equality and diversity. Our policies and procedures reflect our key values.
We motivate our staff to deliver high quality service by remunerating them at them at a level in line with industry standards rates of pay and offer clear routes of progression within our industry.
Our comprehensive recruitment and selection policy sets out guidelines and instructions to ensure positions within our company are advertised widely and diversely to ensure the best possible pool of applicants
Training
Under our current training programme, we offer drivers a varied range of course material to enable the completion of the driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) minimum 7 hours per year, which is now a legal requirement for every pcv driver reviewable 5 yearly to retain their licence.
Performance
We have implemented a performance management framework which involves producing monthly reports of passenger numbers carried, complaints and timetables.
Partnership
We are committed to partnership working and have developed a significant number of successful partnerships with local councils and blue chip clients.
Our business plan sets out action to be undertaken over 5years to identity and develop partnership that will enable us to improve our services and realise efficiency savings that can be passed back to our customers.
Environmental
The vision for the company is to be the first 100% pure plant oil powered bus company in the UK. The drive behind this is a desire to be the leader in corporate social responsibility in this business sector as well as first mover advantage. Whilst the competition continues to offer fossil fuel powered vehicles, Courtney Buses is able to offer vehicles with up to 95% lower carbon footprint powered for sustainable sourced pure plant oil.
