Coronavirus Travel Update

Reading Buses and sister companies to accept concessionary passes all day in most local authorities 

After an agreement was reached with Reading Borough Council, Slough Borough Council, Oxfordshire County Council, Buckinghamshire Council, Surrey County Council and Hampshire County Council we are, from Monday 23 March until further notice, going to accept those authorities’ concessionary passes all day for journeys starting in those areas. This is in response to shops and banks limiting their initial opening hours for older and more vulnerable people. We are still in discussions with other local authorities about relaxing the rules in those areas.

 

For local authorities that we haven’t got agreement with as yet, please use the normal information below:

Passes are valid all day on weekends and Bank Holidays.

On Monday to Friday, passes are valid at the following times when boarding in each borough:
