Courtney Buses is looking for a number of exceptional people to join our team as both trainee bus drivers and fully qualified ones (with their PCV licences). You will receive first class training to achieve your PCV driving licence if you don't have one already and your development will continue throughout your employment.

The most important quality you will need is to be friendly and helpful. You will need to have good communication skills and to enjoy working with people. Our customers expect our services to run to time and so all drivers need to be reliable and punctual in attending work.
Every day you will meet many people. Most of the interactions will be simple and straightforward but sometimes you will need to use your initiative to resolve problems and make decisions. Sometimes your customers will need that extra bit of attention and care and we think it is important to make travelling by bus easy for everyone. That is why we train you to think about all of your customers’ needs.
If you don't have your PCV licence your initial training will take place at our parent company, Reading Buses. Once completed you will undergo further guidance at our Bracknell depot followed by a period accompanied by a Driver Mentor, while you build your confidence.
This is shift work including early, middle and late shift patterns. Your weekly rota will consist of working 5 days out of 7 which will include Saturday and Sundays (rest days are not necessarily together). Your average rota will be about 47 hours per week.
